Two main screening tests for Cervical cancer

Screening is an important part of prevention.
PAP Test
Looking for abnormal changes in cells in the cervical area before cancer develops or it is just an early stage. The Pap test does not detect the presence of HPV.

HPV DNA Test
Testing for the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is the main cause of cervical cancer. Using modern technology to detect DNA of high-risk HPV to identify a woman’s risk for pre-cancer or cance.

Co-Testing
The combination of the Pap test and HPV DNA test. HPV is a very common virus that’s transmitted by intimate skin-to-skin contact.
